Mostly updates and such
Tumblr’s whole business model is to make money on users content and the traffic it generates. If they were just banning porn I’d be more understanding, but that’s not what they’re doing here.
By banning adult content entirely, not to mention the reasoning behind it, it makes the entire Tumblr platform a non-welcoming place for creative people who are also adults. Creativity isn’t a big money maker in their systems of things, I get it..but c'mon. There are limits to what they can push everything towards without destroying themselves(not to mention others).
I have less than 100 followers here and few care, but any future updates I’d have made on Tumblr will be posted at https://mastodon.social/@AmbireSeiche instead. Even though I don’t publish adult content myself, there is no point in staying or using the Tumblr platform. For those looking for an alternative, I would reccomend it, or other instances of Mastodon(some are more artist specific than .social) with the caveat that a social media platform isn’t the same as a publishing platform. My deviant art account is updated sporadically as well, as is hearthis.at. Albums on Sonic Squirrel. Instagram seems pointless as it’s owned by the same people as Facebook and Zuck forbid..
Setting most of the posts to private. Leaving the Crying Diocese post up as a broadly directed fu, not to single them out entirely either of course. There’s a reason this collective of people prefer to have everyone constantly struggling in an infantilized society, foundations all built on ahistorical fables. We can do better, even if they can’t(or won’t).
Something I threw together this evening.
New ambient music for a new month. Enjoy.
Something a bit different from me, playing around with audiomodern’s Riffer.
And more usual fare, a piece called Lullentry
Also the Libidinous version of same
Similar to Dim Mists, but different.

A track summing up my moods and experiences, lately. Ambient with a bit of navel gazing. Only 72 minutes long. Enjoy. I’ll probably publish this up on Sonic Squirrel as well, since it’s been awhile.
Vision is greater than simply working within the given constraints you’re allowed to be in.

I touched on some of the above in the booklet to Stillness In Motion. There’s nothing wrong with monetizing your creations or works..but share your creations with your kindred spirits, the rest is incestuous destruction and ill health - a recipe for distaster. Even if you’re being offered everything under the sun to “get there”, whatever the terms of a deal - all of it comes with a price. Some of those terms may look advantageous on occasion(otherwise they’re sold as “necessary”) but all of it is dictated by ppl who probably aren’t contributing a whole lot to begin with. You’ll earn more money as a street performer than you ever will from getting your music played somewhere like Spotify, though rest assured someone is banking on it or Spotify wouldn’t exist to begin with. Such is life, or so it goes.
